Congrats to the Sheridan boys and girls for winning the Fairfield Union invitational tonight !!! Congrats to Maysville boys for their runner up finish , Nice seeing MVL schools in the top two places !!

SHS boys were lead by Cameryn Severence finishing 2nd , Broc Wilkins 4th , Collin McCartney 15th , Benji Phillips 20th and Chris Conley 25th and Ben Metzger 28th

First Dual Meets of 2009

Tri-Valley and West Muskingum travel to Sheridan for their opening "dual meet" competitions.

Anyone in the area should come over to Sheridan High School! The girls will have two TWO All-Ohio runners present in Stillwell (5th D1) from Tri-Valley and Nutter from West Muskingum.

Post Season Races

The USATF (Track and Cross Country governing body in the United States) hosts a series of meets after teh state championships.

There are a few Sheridan runners interested in continuing their season running some of these races. We are planning to team up with some runners from Watkins Memorial and Lancaster as well as anyone else in the Muskingum Valley League that might be interested.

Saturday is the first in a series of the Championship Season.

New Lexington, Crooksville, and Sheridan will be competing at The University of Rio Grande starting at 10:00 AM with the Division 2 Girls.

What do you think for MVL boys and girls?
I personally think its going to be between crozier/steverance for the champioship.....then smith and greiger for 3rd and 4th........then more sheridan boys......i think sheridan will win MVL cause their coaches are awesome and care and know what they are doing

These will obviously be biased towards Sheridan due to my relationship with the Generals - nevertheless here are some preliminary results until www.onthemarktiming.com or www.baumspage.com gets the results posted.

Does anyone know if the Junior High MVL championships is run the same way the HS is using the dual meet record in addition to the race record?

Sheridan returns alot of talent for this coming year , plus several new comers . Someone will have to step up and fill the void of Daniel Johnson . After Sheridan's 2nd place finish in the MVL last season , I look for them to compete again for the title . Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival 5K Race - July 12th

The Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival will be holding a 5K Race on Saturday, July 12th at 8:30 A.M. The race will start and finish in Village Park and after the race, participants are invited to take a swim in the Crooksville Pool. Pre-registration is $15; on-site registration is $20. All registrants will receive a race t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of the seven age groups.
