The Buckeyes will be wearing so called "throwback" jerseys against Michigan to honor the 1954 National Campions....White jerseys with white helmets. They were not suppose to be revealed until the 15th but the jersey was leaked via a former buckeye's twitter page.

I don't like the Yankees either. But I had to look at the numbers from the series.

But if somebody had told me before the series that Philadelphia would get two wins from Cliff Lee. and Chase Utley would hit five home runs, I would have told you that Philadelphia won in 5 games. They would have beat Los Angeles, Minnesota and Boston with those numbers.

With that considered. I believe the 2009 New York Yankees were one of the greatest baseball teams of all time. I think...

Is there anyone out there that practices brazilian jiu jitsu and would be interested in an occasional training partner? I'm a relative novice and am looking for someone else who is into bjj to roll with and informally practice technique in between classes and lessons with your instructors.

Just when you thought that the general performance of the umpires in this major league baseball post-season could not possibly get any worse... along comes Tim McClelland in the Angels-Yankees game last night, with two of the worst post-season blown calls of all time.

First, Nick Swisher definitely did not leave third base too early on his tag up. And, as replays would later show, McClelland wasn't even looking at Swisher or third base when he did leave. He was staring out...

Came in to play for injured starter Tony Pike last night in their game against the USF Bulls aired on ESPN. They(ESPN announcers) made mention of his 41-1 record in High School at Steubenville and just wanted to point out that the only lost came to THE Sheridan Generals in 2004.

Is it my imagination or does the sports section of the Perry County Tribune focus primarly on New Lexingtion? Regardless of of records or impacts in the MVL, the headlines usually are New Lex. It would seem to me that a paper that has "Perry County" in its name, would attempt to cover all the schools in Perry County. Miller, Crooksville, Sheridan combined, don't have the coverage that New Lexington gets. Don't get me wrong, any coverage is good for the kids, and I am not...

I'm not an Urban Meyer fan, but I love the latest commercial where Herbie asks Urban if he thought about doing something iconic with his wardrobe - such as a visor or sweater vest - and Urban asks if his championship rings count as his wardrobe. That.....is iconic. Ouch!

ESPN has had some good ones (and some really awful ones), but I really like this one. I wish they would show the old ad with the Ohio State locker room guy pasting buckeyes everywhere. Buckeye!

Come out and watch local police and firefighters play in the second annual RED CROSS GUNS VS HOSE flag football game. These year they will be playing at Zanesville High school. Games starts at 700 pm all money raised goes to the Red Cross. Last year the guns won 21-7. Please come out have some fun and support a great cause.

Congratulations go out to all the MVL cheerleaders that were at the Cheerleading competition in New Lexington on Satuday, October 10th. They all performed well and should be very proud of their teams. The results are as follows:

High School: Spirit went to Miller and 1st place also went to Miller
Middle School: Spriti went to Crooksville and 1st place went to Sheridan
Biddy League (5/6th): Spirit went to New Lex and 1st place also went to New Lex
