Does anyone know why New Lexington did not have a freshmen team? I was told they cut several freshmen during tryouts.

Do not have specifics, but Crooksville and Maysville cancelled early. New Lex was a maybe clear up until the deadline to let the MVL schools know if they would
have a team or not. If you are a New Lex parent, I would suggest that you ask the AD if you need more info.

What I heard is that NL had to move up freshmen to fill up their JV squad. So, they didn't have enough for a FR team, so they ended it. It is a shame, but
you can't have the same kids playing FR and JV at the same time. OHSAA has a match limit.

I watched NL defeat JG tonight in three games. There was a time when you would never believe that could happen. Good job Lady Panthers!

No they didn't, Morgan played great that night, digging everything in sight, with a blocker who had an excellent night that night. NL did not play their best against Morgan, but from what I saw, it was Morgan who played outstanding that night. And if you look at the standings, Morgan is in the middle of the table, and is a much improved team from the start of the year. Every year they have a great MS VB team, it is a surprise to me that this team is not near the top of the league every year with the talent they should get. Just like I thought NL played pretty well against TV last night, but TV was not at its best after the 1st set. But NL sure gave TV a run for its money which is a good thing for both teams coming down to tourney time, IMO.

IMO, Morgan has struggled because of lack of stability at top of program. Nine coaching changes in 16 years. Hopefully, Coach Buchanan will change that trend. |

new lex lost to a very good washington courthouse team in 3 today. they couldn't seem to get things going. no reason to hang your heads, you had a winning
season which hasn't happened for a while
