The Tri-Valley boys and girls will be competing in the Division One district meet at Watkins Memorial on Saturday afternoon. Boys run at 1:30, girls run at

Does anyone know the times for the races at Cambridge this Saturday? Has the location changed this year? Thanks

Location this year is Cambridge High School, not out at the old course near the Mental Health institution, County Home, whatever it is.
The girls district is split into 2 parts (which doesn't make sense since there are 23 girls teams and 1 division for 25 boys teams The boys run at 1:30 and one section of the girls is at 12:30, so I am guessing the other girls section is at 1:00 maybe. |

Thanks for the info RF (and good questions matlock)
How does the districts work when it is split into two parts like that? I would assume that only the top 16 times from the district are moving on, not the top 16 from each section? (Is it even the top 16 that move on?) Anyone familiar with this course? Is it a fast course, technical course, is it spectator friendly, etc? |

The top 16 runners from each race go the regionals , at least thats the way it is at the southeast district @ Rio Grande . There is 2 boys D-2 races and they take the top 4 teams and the top 16 individuals from each race . |

^^^^^ Same at Cambridge, top 4 teams from each section and 16 individuals move on to regionals. So for the girls at Cambridge, 8 teams and 32 individuals move
on.
The course is very fast and somewhat spectator friendly. |

The way the District determines how many "District races" are held at each meet (Ex: Cambridge has two girls races for D2) is how many athletes
Start the race from the previous year.
This is why we ask every coach to bring at least 5 athletes to the line regardless of whether they are going to complete the race. The District boards submit how many complete "Teams" are on the line at the beginning of the race. That help? |

Congratulations to the Tri-Valley Lady Scotties on their fifth place finish in the Division One district meet at Watkins Memorial... just 12 points behind
Olentangy Liberty for the fourth and final regional berth. It was a great effort by the Lady Dawgs, featuring several PR's and season bests... against
some extremely tough competition. And what can you say about Allison Stillwell, who won the race with a massive PR of 18:10! Ally demolished the field, and
was not challenged after the first mile. Simply amazing.
Congrats also to the Tri-Valley boys, who ran hard and gave a solid effort. Teddy Crozier came up just short in his regional bid, with a very good time of 16:55, once again against some very impressive competition. Good luck to all the MVL runners who will be competing in the regional meet next week. |

Jensen Buchannan (sp?) from Maysville moved on to regionals, she placed somewhere between 14th and 16th. Tyler Smith just missed, finishing 17th. Congrats to
the Maysville kids, they had a solid season.
Another stellar meet for the Sheridan boys, I would love to see their team make it to state! Unless I am mistaken, I believe they also had a coach qualify for Boston today! Best of luck to all the runners that are moving on to regionals. |

Rachel Beam (21:16) and Kaci Jago (21:26) for Morgan placed 11th and 14th at Cambridge to move on to Pickerington and Brittany Piccone of Crooksville placed
9th in 21:23 in the D III race at Rio Grande to move on.
I think that makes Stillwell (TV) in the D I race, West girls team, Wollenberg (NL), Miller (SH), Buchanan (MA), Beam (MO) and Jago (MO) in the D II race, Piccone (CR) in the D III race and the Sheridan boys and Geiger (JG) in the boys DII race. Congratulations to all! |
