IMO, the MVL will be hard-pressed (top to bottom) to make a significant improvement next year over this year, but that's asking a lot of ANY league to do
anyway. If there was that much talent coming up, they would have already been playing THIS past season.
Also ... look for a very interesting local matchup next season. And to my knowledge, it's not a "maybe." |

Ah, philokid and BigDawg40 ... all over it like a cheap suit! (MVLSports -- that one is in the books, too.)
I think the last time ZHS and Tri-Valley played was in a tournament game at Steubenville during the Rick Lewis years (early), when Tri-Valley slipped into Division I for a season. I believe on game is right after the New Year, and the other right before the tournament begins. I don't have exact dates. |

Tri-Valley will be playing Zanesville twice, Reynoldsburg, and River View.
It is the last year with River View. I doubt that will be renewed. |

Nice job by both schools to schedule this game. It'll be interesting if TV hangs with them (or God forbid actually wins) to see to what extent the
"Zanesville joining the MVL" discussion ramps up.

Tri-Valley at Zanesville on Saturday, Jan. 2.
Zanesville at Tri-Valley on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Both games are a 7:30 p.m. (-ish) varsity tipoff. ZHS also plays East Liverpool (2x), Cambridge (2x), Reynoldsburg, Westerville Central, Parkersburg South (2x), Newark, Massillon Washington, Worthington Christian, Granville, Canal Winchester, Piketon, Wheeling Park, Upper Arlington, Warren Harding and Hilliard Davidson this season. |

This TV/Zville matchup would have been good in the late 90s early 2000's. This year it wont mean much, but in 6-9 years if the MVL swings around again it
could.

might angle for the other one, though, even if it is a Tuesday.
I just think it's great they're starting to play again. Makes way too much sense not to do so. |
