i am going to rant about this game but before i do i am going to say that roscrans won grats and im not trying to make excusses. the refs called back 2 of
philos goals the on it bounced of the goal post did not go out so in the rebound we hit it in the goal they called it a goal kick the ball never went out! and
another we had a guy take a shot it bounced off the keeper they we had i guy follow he scored they called offsides he wasn't he was outside the 18 at the
time went they shot and he followed noone was offsides! also 1 of our guy got a red card he played the ball got all ball it should not of been a red card our
coach almost got kicked out because he was yellin at the refs for it. he is also writing in to make sure they never ref a philo game agian. after the game the
refs blew the whisle and and they ran all the way out of the stadium and didn't stop till they got to there car which idk why not like the team was going
to do anything they already lost. ugh sorry had to get that off my chest.

i guess they didn't call offsides i just found out they said that our player hit the goalie with his shoulder which is bull because he never touched the
goalie he hit the ball off his shoulder they kicked it in.

Quite a rant. Do you feel better? =) Good referees are defiantly not the most common thing in the MVL. If you play out of league teams its a huge change from
not being able to body up in the MVL, to being laid out legally against other teams. It's tough to take a loss when it's close enough to let the
ref's dictate the outcome with 1 or 2 calls. My advise is not to make 1 or 2 calls make the difference.

My advice is go be a referee when your playing career is over. There are always referees needed.

Most of the referee's in the MVL, from what I have seen, started out as(and continue to be) basketball referee's. And whether they would admit it or
not, they call the game like a basketball game, calling a lot of contact fouls and what not.
IMO, coaching, referee's & the play overall in this area will only continue to get better as former players have kids and stay in the area.

There should be referee certification courses in Ohio.
Here is the link to Ohio South State Referee Committee course schedule. I will probably be getting certified in the spring, or at least hope to be. |

philoftw its fine to rant about refs but dont try to pull out names. professional refs have bad days, as do players, it happens. and imo the twins are among
the "better" refs in the mvl as far as the "better" can be in the league

philo's going to have a hard time the rest of the season, one of our team captins are out with a high ankle sprian and another senior is out because of the
red card, and we have 2 juniors out because of grades.

Ya the Philo sectional got added to the River View sectional so there is a 10 team "super sectional" at RV
