2009-10 Cleveland Browns Discussion |

The only thing that is clear is that the National media hate Mangini. Looks like Quinn gets the starting job. Over/under on wins....in a weak division I say
they win 7 games this year.

But they don't play in a weak division, IMO. The Ravens and Steelers OWN them.
I do see about 6 to 8 winnable games on their schedule, but the other 8 games would be a huge upset if the Browns win and I don't see it happening. I think six wins is a good total and I might be generous on that. |

It is a very weak division. Ravens will have about the same record as the Browns this year. Pittsburg should cruise through this bunch of stiffs.

I'll ride the proverbial fence on whether the North division is weak or strong. Regardless, I'll be satisfied if the Browns can be
"presentable" with 7/8 wins. Below 6 would be another catastrophe and somehow getting 9 would have lots of folks I know in a positive uproar, and
easy to buy Christmas gifts for (Browns' stuff) this year.

If cincy wins 9 games....I will do something that is very humiliating.

Dude, we play the AFC West so that is 3 wins for sure. Possibly 4, because San Diego will have the division wrapped up by week 9 and won't need to play
anyone against us! Beat KC, Detroit, NYJ and sweep Cleveland and that is 8 wins for sure.
Denver W @ GB L Pitt L @ Clev W @ Balt L Hou L Chicago W Balt W @ Pitt L @ Oak W Clev W Detroit W @ Minn W (Farve's arm will have officially fallen off by that time) @ SD L KC W NYJ W That is 10-6, so take away either the win @ Minn or Baltimore, and that still has them @ 9-6! I'll get my plunger ready! You can observe a lot just by watching.

Not to digress from the Browns Discussion, but I agree with what jda is thinking per the Bengals' predicted record.

Whitedog,
A picture of you and JDA walking around with a plunger stuck to your head will be priceless! Heck, I did the Browns a favor by giving them 5 wins. Other than the AFC West, in which they will be competitive, besides Detroit what other games will they win? 0-6 in the division, losses to Chicago, Minn, SD, GB, and Denver, put them right @ 5-11. So they better no slip up against Buffalo, Oakland, or Jacksonville or it is back in the top 5 of the draft. You can observe a lot just by watching.

I think the browns, bengals and ravens are all around 6 or 7 wins.
You are predicting wins at home for the Bengals against Chicago and the jets, plus road wins at MN, Cleveland, and on the west coast (oakland and san diego) while they replace their entire o-line. Chicago will absolutely own the bengals, and they will split with everyone in the division except P-burg. Favre could get hit by a truck right now and any of the other QB's would lead the Vikings to a victory over the browns, bengals or ravens, especially at home. I'll at least buy your breakfast at the next get together if the bengals win 9 games bro.

I can see the Bungles having a better record than the Browns. But nine or 10 wins? I don't think so. Haven't you seen that Bungles karma kicking up
already with the Andre Smith broken foot?

Speaking of the Browns, with no named starter yet, how does Mangenious not allow either Quinn or Anderson play last night? Interesting tactic! You can observe a lot just by watching.

You have a bet. Neither Quinn nor Anderson playing demonstrates that the Coach is a "ham".

We know he is a pig. Does Cleveland have a minumum weight requirement for their head coach? First Romeo and now Mangini. I guess the next coach will be Mark
Mangeno from Kansas!

devil, Your affinity with the hog vocabulary suggests that, deep down inside, you know the only measure to boost the Bengals is akin to some pork barrel
maneuver by the the local governmental districts in southwestern Ohio. Ain't gonna happen, right? The Bengals gotta go with what Mike Brown's only goal
is: filling seats!
