The Bengals will finish no better than 5-11. The Browns will be anywhere from 7-9 on down.

No one can "fill a seat" like Romeo Crennel!
BD40, you need to evacuate your palacial Hyde Park estate at this very minute before I alert my over the rhine friends of your most recent statement! You can observe a lot just by watching.

The Brownies play 4 of the last 5 in Dec/Jan at home against 3 warm-weather teams. This would be advantageous if they had a competitive team. But, unfortunately, these games will be played in front of sparse crowds after the team is long out of playoff contention. There will be so many empty seats - especially in the club level. At least at old Municipal, you would still have 60-70,000 people in the stands supporting an often mediocre team. I don't have confidence in anyone up there anymore, but hopefully Mangenious is successful and can change the culture and create excitement. Boy, nothing beats the long trek up north to repeatedly watch 3-and-outs and hearing the PA announcer bellow "Gardocki on to punt." And that's if we didn't turn the ball over! |

Of course, the Brownies will probably pull a Bengals-like finish and beat KC, OAK, and JAX at the end of the year to give false hope for next season.....and
blow their chance at a high draft pick.

They blew there chance at a high draft pick when they had one trading it away twice......but maybe we don't need a high draft pick......tim couch, courtney
brown, willie green........you can get solid players in the late rounds

Don't forget Touchdown Tommy Vardell!!
Yea, STD is right the Browns have done wonders with their late rounders... Chaun Thompson, Charlie Frye, Luke McCown, Lee Suggs, Antiono Perkins are all sure fire HoF'ers! And who can forget the 2000 6th round selection of Texas State QB Spergeon Wynn...16 picks ahead of Tom Brady. Do they even have anyone left from their 2008 draft? You can observe a lot just by watching.

Josh Cribbs wasn't even drafted was he?....He is by far the most underated player in the NFL and the Browns MVP.

So I'm guessing Cleveland starts out with a loss, thus completing a not so rare weekend hat trick for my favorite football teams.

Cut Robert Royal | ||
|
Because he has hands of stone? No.
Because you can? No Because as I was driving home from Circleville after watching my daughter's soccer game, I listened to Royal drop like the 50th pass thrown to his stupid wide open butt.....and could see this post in my head...... This guy came out of hibernation this week, saw his shadow and ran back into his den.
What does it mean? Six more weeks without a touchdown. Would've been great then Royal goes and scores with 20 seconds left. What a loser. Cut him.

The Browns have long been clueless with their draft picks. I was floored by a stat that I heard several years back (around 2003). Including the extra picks in
1999 and 2000, the Browns had 32 picks from '99-'01. Out of those 32 selections, 29 were no longer with the Browns, and 28 were no longer in the NFL!
It certainly didn't help when Butch Davis trumped everyone in the draft room by taking Gerard Warren over Richard Seymour. Of course, this topic only stirs up memories of Mike Junkin, Clifford Charlton, or even all the way back to Mike Phipps. |
