Ann Mooney and Lisa Cline would be at the top of the list in the state. No doubt in my mind. Lisa was a strong type player. Ann was a gym rat and very good at
it. She was only a block away from where the boys played during the summer, but she was there more than any boy or girl.

I disagree, the girls game has changed that much. Girls today are more athletic and play the game a little more off the ground then they did, also at a quicker
pace. I agree Cline would do well still but some of her team mates most likely would not be able to compete with todays modern athlete. JMO

I think the New Lex teams along with the Roscrans teams of that era would be just as dominant in this area.
Everybody knows that love goes away.

Ann Mooney should be #1 on this list. Her 1,505 career points are the most in school history. She scored a record-high 47 points in one game and school record
756 points in the 1984-85 season, leading the Panthers to Class AA State runner-up. Ann was a two-time All-district and All Muskingum Valley League selection
and a 1st team All-Ohioan. Ann went on to star in basketball at Indiana University, where she netted numerous academic and athletic accolades, including GTE
Scholastic All-American, 3-time Academic All-Big Ten, All-Big Ten, Big Ten Medal of Honor, and Big Ten 2nd Leading Scorer.

I agree with JDA, those teams would do just fine today.
I know the 26-0 Rosecrans group (Nash, Kohler, Peifer, etc) would not have any problem competing right now. You can observe a lot just by watching.

Heather Harris, Ashley Norman and Erin Miller from Philo's 1999-2000 team could arguably be considered the best starting trio in MVL history

Julie Hoag from Tri-valley's 1985 class AAA State Runner-Up outplayed Mooney for 4 years, better rebounder, higher shooting percentage and comparable
career scoring on better teams. Ann had the better college career but inthe same four year period Hoag was the better player.
Pippa pierce and sandy post joined cannon on some maysville teams that were just unlucky to be in the same district as Riverview and West Holmes. They both deserve recognition. |

Michelle Harkness averaged over 27 ppg for one of Terry Kelly's WM teams if I recall correctly. That has to get some consideration.

Maysville had some good girls but one that comes to my mind was Vicky Fulton 1987 Grad. Very good player who played for Twiggs.
