Best coach in the league. I like TV's chances. They just have the best athletes....as they should.

Agreed, I see them, John Glenn, and Sheridan in almost a dead heat right now.

If it was numbers alone that produces better athletes, then the lower division schools would not compete as well as they do above their divisional cut offs.
The odds are in the favor by percentage that a larger school by enrollment will have a larger pool of boys to choose from but no guarantee that there are top
notch athletes in that group. The coach factor eluded to above can make an enormous impact on the outcome of a teams success or lack thereof. Give me 3 or 4
good ones and a little depth and most anyone can be successful. The trick is to take a group of lesser talented kids who just want to play the game and make a
contender out of them.

Tri Valley has a great coach and a great group of athletes that do work hard. The numbers don't have anything to do with it.

How many football players are expected to contribute at the varsity level? How would a long playoff run affect things?

I thought JG won in 01-02 and 02-03?

I went back and looked (also posted a new thread) at the past Champions list Whitey put together a few years ago. It said Morgan won in 03-04.
You're right about JG, they won the two years before that. |

TV basketball could very well win MVL again this year. Should be between them and JG. TV should be deep with Sleys, Kilgore, Jonard, McConnell, Kaido, Bice,
Cameron, Mahon, Lepi, etc.

Cody Micheal (#76) in football should also contribute. He is 6'3" 240lbs and runs the court well.

Max Kilgore has the size.

It will take Todd awhile to bring this squad together. No coach can lose what he had last year and just instantly be #1. But as the season progresses Todd will
have these boys right where they should be. In the hunt for the MVL crown.
And the rest of the MVL should beat up on Tri-Valley this year if they can. Talent gets scary good in the coming years. |

I was impressed with Tri-Valley's team play tonight against Crooksville. Great ball rotation against the Ceramics' 1-2-2 (3-2) zone with some nicely
threaded passes on the interior. Also, at the other end, the Scotties played moderately aggressive defense while maintaining weak-side help. Cameron is an ace
and Merriweather is an emerging fine point guard. Kilgore and Jonard are solid interior players. Count 'em---two.
