If the New Lex girls find some inside board play, I think they will be a first division team in the MVL. IMO, Martha Kunkler will be one of those "names
that will dominate the MVL this year."

1. Tri-Valley- doubt anyone plays them under double digits.
2. Maysville 2a. Sheridan 2b. New Lex 5. Morgan 6. Philo 7. West M. 8. Crooksville 9. John Glenn TV is obviously the class of the league. Maysville has nice talent but are not deep. Sheridan has some nice players but no true consistent perimeter shooters, I expect New Lex to surprise. They have the entire team back and are well coached (even if he is slightly off haha). Morgan will challenge the three above them, Bowman will have a hand in what they are doing which should make them improve. Philo will be well coached and competitive. West M has very talented young kids but IMO they will get to see just exactly what coach Van Reeth meant to them this season. Crooksville will be much better as well. John Glenn is the only team I feel that can not compete with anyone in the league. Any team 2-8 could beat one another and finish in any order. The only two safe bets, IMO, are TV at the top and JG at the bottom. |

1. TV
2. Maysville 3. Sheridan 4. West M 5. Morgan 6. New Lex 7. Philo 8. Crooksville 9. John Glenn Yes....there is some distance between 1 and everyone else. I agree with MB the 2-8 will be competitive nightly. Maysville and Mel Poorman might be a step above everyone else below them. We shall see. West will be young. They've also put more time in the gym for a summer than they have for some time and have done more skills work than they've seen the last two calendar years. Probably a year away though. Lost their sole senior to injury for the year which will hurt from a leadership standpoint. |

Tri-Valley in first is easy. Gets tougher from there. Maysville, Sheridan and Morgan will fight it out for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. New Lex and West M are close but
probably are 5th and 6th. Philo, Crooksville and John Glenn at the bottom.
Top players are Luburgh, Young, Miller, Poorman, Vallie, Robinson, Swinehart, Williams, Nelson, Kunkler and Gill. Sure I forgot some but those are the quick names that come to mind. Lots of new coaches. Tri-Valley games will be boring but Maysville, Sheridan, Morgan, New Lex and West M can probably all beat each other on any given night. Should make for a great season. |
