Coaches I sent emails out to all of you about getting a youth MVL League started up. I've only heard from two Coaches. This would be a good opportunity to
get these kids matches close to home. Is there enough interest from all schools to get this started?

Zanesville PAL is currently a member of the SOYWL. New Lex joined the SOYWL last year. We would be interested in joining an MVL league depending on how many
other teams will get involved. I do not think West M or Maysville will have a youth team this year, they did not last year.

WL- Are these commitments made to these leagues? Or are these a year to year commitment? I heard that the league Nelsonville runs is possibly being shut down. |

The Nelsonville Youth Wrestling Team does not run the SOYWL. Just because I'm from Nelsonville, does not mean the team runs the league. Also...the SOYWL is NOT shutting down. I am meeting with OU's Coach Greenlee on Friday and will email information out to all league members after that. If an MVL team does not want to be a part of the SOYWL any longer, please send me an email at boney@ohio.edu. Thanks! |

No reason we can't do the MVL league and participate in the other leagues as well if the teams choose to do so. We need to build the MVL, making everyone
better makes us all better. I am willing to set down and have a meeting, anyone else?

I didn't say anything about teams not being able to be in the SOYWL and other leagues. In fact, right now, we do have a team in 2 different leagues.
I'm all for "the more, the better". I was just trying to stop the rumor that the SOYWL is shutting down and the remark that the Nelsonville team
runs the league, which neither are true. As of right now, I do not know whether there will be more teams added to the SOYWL. We had some members that could not
be in the league last year, and they would have first choice to join back.

Sheridan will still host the MVL tournament for youth on Sunday, January 17, 2010.
I would say to join both. If Crooksville wants to host a MVL Dual tournament we would be interested. We are staying in the SOYWL for this season as well. |

We havn't scheduled our tournament at Philo yet. We had a Sunday tourney that followed our Saturday jr high tourney last year and spent hours in the gym Sunday morning clearing out all the trash. So we definately want to schedule around that weekend this year. I am currently checking with PJHS for available dates. I'm also in the process of securing gym times for home duels for the SOYWL. I have put in a request for Wed. January 13th and Wed. January 27th, 2010. Provided those dates are approved, is anyone (from SOYWL) interested in a duel (or Tri) at Philo? |

OURWAY State Tournament will be held on Saturday March 27 at the Nutter Center in Dayton. With this later date, I have to assume that the regionals will be
around February 28 this year. There is no regional info on the website, just state info: www.ourwaywrestling.com

When can we all get together for a meeting to discuss whether or not this will work. I have not heard anything from the SOYWL about planning meetings for the
2009-2010 season. My team is starting practices on the 10th of November and I would like to start scheduling soon, but there still seems to be too much
"in the air".
